Does blupdf keep the original font?
Yes. blupdf reads the font embedded in your PDF and renders your new text with it. When a font is missing or the page is a scan, it picks the closest match from its library.
Can I edit a scanned PDF?
Yes. Scanned pages and photos go through AI OCR first, so text blocks become editable just like a digital PDF.
Is blupdf free?
Every account starts with 1,000 free credits and no card. Paid plans start at $39 per month with 30,000 credits.
What is a credit?
Credits pay for work: 50 per digital page parsed, 80 per scanned page OCR'd, 1 per character of new text, 20 per exported page. See the pricing page for the full table.
Do I need to install anything?
No. blupdf runs in the browser on Mac, Windows, Linux and tablets.
Are my documents private?
Your files are stored encrypted, processed only to perform the edits you ask for, never used to train AI models, and deleted 30 days after last access or immediately when you delete them.
Which file types work?
PDF files, plus JPG and PNG images that blupdf wraps into a PDF page. Free accounts accept files up to 10 MB and 10 pages; paid plans go far beyond.
